November 24, 2023 – Japanese Camellia
Camellia japonica, a woody evergreen shrub, is currently loaded with white blooms and abundant buds. While a lot of other plant life grows orange and red, these plants are green and vibrant.

Did you know that tree leaves shift color in the fall because the longer evenings result in less chlorophyll production?

November 6, 2023 – Anemone robustissima
Among the new plantings at the Community Building is this Japanese Anemone which will bloom for a few more weeks.

November 3, 2023 – Plantain Lily
Just in time for Halloween, the Hosta ‘Blue Cadet’ gives us vibrant orange leaves as it becomes dormant for the season.

October 26, 2023 – Linden Viburnum
This viburnum looks especially lovely this time of year. The rich red of the berries only continues to deepen further into the fall season.

October 13, 2023 – Fly Agaric
One of the most attractive mushrooms is called Amanita muscaria, Fly Agaric, or the Death Cap. It is poisonous.
