Out and About in the Arboretum

August 1, 2025 – Court 26
If you haven’t been to and through Court 26 lately, make sure you visit! Between the hostas, hibiscus, coneflowers, and more, you will find something to enjoy.

July 25, 2025 – Hibiscus
It’s that time of year when the abundant variety of Hibiscus flowers explode into bloom. You can find them in many places and colors around the campus.

July 18, 2025 – Redbud in summer
The Redbud tree is fascinating for the gradient in its leaves. New growth is a bright yellow-green that turns much deeper as it matures, resulting in a visually striking pattern.

July 5, 2025 – Fall Phlox
Phlox paniculata, commonly known as Fall Phlox, is a lovely flowering plant that adds rich color to the landscape.

June 27, 2025 – Buttonbush
Cephalanthus occidentalis or Common Buttonbush looks fantastic despite the recent triple digits. And like this bumblebee, we’re grateful!

June 6, 2025 – Medford Meadows
Following an overhaul and investment several years ago, the Medford Leas Meadow is truly spectacular this year. This week’s warmth provided a boost to the blooms and it is a sight to see.
