May 20, 2022 – Honeysuckle
The native Honeysuckle, Major Wheeler, is in full bloom, producing a blanket of tubular, reddish orange to coral colored flowers from now through summer.

May 13, 2022 – Horse Chestnut
Aesculus hippocastanum, Horse Chestnut, is a large tree known for its showy flowers in May. This non-native tree gives its all at this time of the year, with clusters of flowers that are often six inches or more.

May 6, 2022 – Talking about Dogwoods
We are all in agreement that the American Dogwoods look especially full and lush this year. This densely crowned tree is considered by many to be the very symbol of spring, with its magnificent white or pink blossoms.

April 29, 2022 – Redbud
As you are out and about in the Arboretum you will notice many Redbuds (Cercis canadensis) coming alive with their vibrant pink and purple colors on both campuses.

April 22, 2022 – Lumberton Meadow 2022
If you are out and about in the Arboretum on the Lumberton Campus, you have noticed some new plantings being installed. We are delighted to have Larry Weaner Landscape Associates working with us on the meadow design and are most appreciative of the residents who helped with the plantings!

April 15, 2022 – Spring in Court 17
Court 17 on the Medford Campus is chock full of spring blooms and color. Check out the hellebores, camellias and daffodils!
