Out and About in the Arboretum

How wonderful to have completed the final stage of our Rushmore neighborhood refresh, including Rushmore Building 64. Again, we appreciate the talents of O’Brien’s Landscaping in coming up with this design. As you are out and about, you may want to take a look.

The easiest Yellow-Fruited American Holly (Ilex opaca xanthocarpa) to find is planted in front of the Lois Forrest Nature Center on the Medford Campus. Additional yellow berried hollies line Medford Leas Way near Rushmore.

Always a special treat to behold are the five glorious Japanese Maples, Acer palmatum ‘Osakazuki,’ in Court One on the Medford Campus.

Enjoy the new plantings at Rushmore Building 62 where O’Brien’s Landscaping has recently planted a variety of shrubs, trees, ground covers and perennials.

Linden viburnum has leaves which resemble those of the linden tree. Spring flowers give way to bright red fruits at this time of the year.
