One of the most attractive mushrooms is called Amanita muscaria, Fly Agaric, or the Death Cap. It is poisonous.

Even with dreary weather and hints of fall on the horizon, the bees are still buzzing! When you are out and about in the Arboretum, take a moment to watch these fascinating creatures do their thing.

August 18, 2023 – Cutleaf Maple
Even though it is just mid-August, the Japanese Cutleaf Maple, Acer palmatum ‘Coral Bark,’ is just beginning to move towards its golden yellow leaves as the fall season approaches.

August 11, 2023 – Crepe Myrtle
The Atrium on the Medford Campus is a happy collection of color right now! The star of the show is the Crepe Myrtle with its magenta blooms.
