This month, the Lumberton Campus Meadow is giving a wonderful show of native wildflowers and grasses. The Meadow, which was renovated and refreshed with new plantings of seeds and plugs in October 2014, has come into its own this year. In a recent educational walk in the Meadow, over a dozen different wildflowers were in bloom, ranging from Rabbit’s Foot Clover to Wild Bergamot and several varieties of Milkweed. Also visible were plants that will come into bloom later in the summer season. Keep an eye out for birds and wildlife enjoying this colorful area.
