Hydrangea quercifolia, commonly called oakleaf hydrangea, is a shrub that just keeps on giving. Currently in bloom with its cream colored flowers it is a treat to behold. As the fall season arrives it gives a show with its bronze and maroon leaves. During the winter months, you can enjoy the exfoliating bark through the winter, until spring comes again.
There are a number of these shrubs in the Arboretum, and you can easily find them in Courtyard Garden 20.
