March 26, 2021 – Ducks
Over the years, we have often had a nest built in our parking lot garden — perhaps they are scouting for this year’s nest??

March 19, 2021 – Spring colors
The month of March often brings pops of color throughout the Arboretum, and after such a white winter, we are all so pleased to enjoy some color. Keep an eye out on the buds of the trees and shrubs as we move through the rest of the month.

March 12, 2021 – Pussy willow
Pussy willow is the name given to smaller species in the Salix genus when the furry catkins appear in early spring. The North American native plant Salix discolor, a deciduous shrub, is the most common species.

March 5, 2021 – Witch Hazel
Witchhazel, Hamamelis x intermedia ‘Arnold Promise,’ is a flowering shrub that is prized for its spidery bright yellow blooms that arrive in late winter or early spring, before the foliage opens.

February 19, 2021 – Plant Wall
When you are down in the area by the Wellness Center, enjoy our newly installed plant wall! Thanks to Debbie Lux for choosing the perfect plants and colors to complement the area. As we move through the seasons, stay tuned for new plants to enjoy. Another point of interest as you are out and about!
