Out and About in the Arboretum

The Court 17 Garden is chock full of spring blooms and color. Check out the hellebores, camellias and daffodils.

Coral Bark Maple has distinctive showy pink bark, which provides excellent color and contrast to landscapes in winter and spring.

Just this past week four new trees were added to the Arboretum, three on the Medford Campus and one on the Lumberton Campus. A wonderful time of year to get these trees into the ground to begin their new lives in our community.

The cooler weather seems to have slowed the bloom on some of our daffodils throughout the Arboretum, but in Court 17 on the Medford Campus, you can enjoy a beautiful burst of spring!

Commonly known as Cornelian Cherry, the Cornus mas is a deciduous shrub or small tree. As the yellow flowers emerge it is a sure sign of spring to come.

Hellebores are among the few perennials to bloom in late winter to early spring. These unique flowers range in color from creamy white to pink, maroon and nearly black.
