If you didn’t get a chance this week to see the incredible rhododendron blooming along Woolman Way, look at these pictures. The name comes from ancient Greek ρόδο (rhódon), “rose”, and δένδρον (déndron), “tree.” It is also the state flower of both Washington state and West Virginia.
