Normally, we feature photographs from a sunny day, but we were so happy for the rain, we thought it appropriate to document it this week. Courtyard Garden 11 on the Medford Campus is home to the Stewartia koreana tree. This slow-growing, pyramidal tree is native to the mountains of Japan and the Korean peninsula. The small camellia-like white flowers cover the tree. And as a bonus in the fall, the leaves give a reddish-orange and burgundy color to this Court. As you are out and about, be sure to take a look.
