Despite the heat, many flowers around the arboretum are showing off including the Lagerstroemia indica, or Dwarf Crepe Myrtle. The distinctive frilly, richly-hued blooms are a favorite among gardners and insects alike. Be sure to enjoy when you are Out and About (preferably during early morning or evening hours.)
