July 6, 2018 – Summer Heat

As we experience extreme heat, it is always a good idea to keep in mind some basic tips to protect yourself from heat-related stress. Remember, the extreme heat does not last forever, but while we are in the thick of it, always good to keep these tips in mind:

  • If possible, remain indoors in the heat of the day.
  • Do not engage in strenuous activities.
  • Drink cool, nonalcoholic beverages throughout the day.
  • When possible, seek an air-conditioned environment.
  • Wear lightweight clothing.
