January 31, 2025 – Snowdrops

On this warm(er) rainy day, spring might not feel so far away. Adding even more momentum to that feeling are the budding Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) in the Atrium Garden. These little flowers get their name from the snowy white petals as well as the downward facing blooms. Furthermore, due to the very early wintertime appearance, there is often snow still on the ground when they emerge.

There are many of these plants just beginning to pop up so there is plenty of opportunity to see them when Out and About.
