As you are out and about this week, you may appreciate walking through Court 13 on the Medford Campus to enjoy the group of three Foster Holly, Ilex x Attenuata ‘Fosteri’ trees. This group makes a stunning show with its glossy dark green leaves and the deep red berries that fill the branches. This holly is a female cultivar, but there’s no need to plant a male specimen to ensure berry production. It is parthenocarpic, meaning it can produce fruit without pollination.
