As you are out and about, take a look to enjoy the Dragon’s Eye Pine (Pinus densiflora) in the Pinetum on the Medford Campus. This pine’s needles are marked with bands of yellow and green. The buttery yellow variegation on the 3- to 5-inch needles is present year-round, but it truly intensifies as we are in the heat of the summer. It really stands out amongst the traditional evergreens.
