Cornus florida, flowering dogwoods, are coming into their prime at this time.
The dogwood, one of the most popular trees in the country, offers an unmatched four-season display of beauty. The main attraction is the appearance of the white blooms that herald the arrival of spring. Unfussy in its care requirements, the dogwood readily thrives in the landscape. It is often used as an understory tree, to keep it in dappled sunshine, though it can grow in full sun as well.
You can find these trees throughout the Medford Campus, but especially along Medford Leas Way.
